Introduction to Permaculture Design

Who should attend: Homeowners, farmers, gardeners, landscapers, architects, students and anyone curious to learn more about permaculture design.
This workshop will emphasize practical examples and experiential learning on a beautiful farm that is currently being developed as a permaculture site.
This course will provide attendees with an introduction to the fundamental aspects of permaculture design.
Topics covered in this hands-on weekend design workshop are:
- Relative location
- Each element performs multiple functions
- Each function is supported by many elements
- Energy efficient planning
- Using biological resources
- Energy cycling
- Small-scale intensive systems
- Natural plant succession and stacking
- Polyculture and diversity of species
- Increasing "edge" within a system
- Observe and replicate natural patterns
