Forest Garden and Multi-Functional Hedgerow Design Workshop

Who should attend: Homeowners, farmers, gardeners, landscapers, architects, botanists, and anyone curious to learn more about forest gardens.
Participants will be provided with the opportunity to work on a Forest Garden design at Heaven and Earth Farm. There will be plenty of opportunity for hands on experience in the garden and the greenhouse.

Topics covered in this hands-on weekend design workshop are:
- Design productive and beautiful forest gardens based on ecology and sustainable traditional systems
- Plan environments that support humans, wildlife and restore the land
- Create social and economic systems providing people with abundance, security and meaningful lifestyles
- Learn to design hedgerows and shelterbelts that create wildlife habitat, grow fruit and nuts, medicine and fiber
- Learn to select plants specific to your forest garden ecology
- Learn to integrate paths and borders, nitrogen fixing plants and water within your design
- Learn about plant propagation techniques and sources for forest garden plants
- Learn to design plant guilds that increase your diversity and abundance

Course Cost: $220 includes tuition, meals, camping and course materials. Discount for early registration and couples.
