Sacred Earth Update 2008 New Horizons Sacred Earth is evolving in an organic way. We started out at Heaven and Earth Farm and developed the greenhouse with a Solviva design which has been very successful. The design business Sacred Earth Ecological Design has installed many permaculture sites in Southern Oregon and continues to develop home scale permaculture sites for clients in Southern Oregon. The next phase of the project is coming. We are purchasing land with the intention of learning to be good stewards. The approach is to harmonize with natural systems and learn more about ecological design by living closer to the source. Sustainable living is a combination of community, micro-enterprise, food production and staying connected to the deeper spirit of the land and ourselves. So we have a new greenhouse and 4 years of experience to go on plus the resources to move to the next level of ecological design and permaculture in practice. Our work continues… by finding the harmony and balance necessary to live in connection with our mother earth. We are looking to the sacred ways of our ancestors and trying to use the resources available to tune into the needs of the land. Looking forward to connecting in 2008. ~ Andy Fischer Mission/Vision: The mission of the Sacred Earth Institute is to provide educational opportunities in the fields of permaculture, ecological design, and nature awareness and restoration systems. Our vision also honors the Spiritual awareness of the complexity and beauty existing within mother earth and how she sustains all life on the planet. Part of our educational challenge is to promote a whole systems approach to understanding our integral connectedness to all life and use that as an educational cornerstone. The institute will also be used to expand awareness of projects in Southern Oregon/Siskiyou bioregion that demonstrate manifestation of creative abundant futures through design. Demonstration sites and links will be listed on this website. Sacred Earth Institute mission includes an ecological and restoration design services business to provide clients with expertise to create harmony and beauty on their property. |
